Haslanekiffinbeenfired.com popped up a few weeks ago when the back and forth "you will/won't get fired" mental duel Saw 1,2,3,4,5, also known as Raiders owner Al Davis had going on in his head regarding his "beloved" coach Lane Kiffin.
Finally, after weeks of posturing, Lane Kiffin has been fired. What followed was one of the most entertaining news conferences of our time.
My personal opinion:
The Raiders are a joke. I'm pretty sure there's truth coming out of both sides, but the team played hard for Kiffin. But was he the right fit for JaMarcus? I doubt it. They needed to definitely pass more, but I feel Lane should've been given the chance to finish out the season. If his team kept blowing leads throughout this season, then I would've "sawed" him off too.
But Tom Cable repairman won't do anything for this team. The season is lost. I got to give it to Raiders fans though, they are die-hards, even though their team "dies hard" week after week. If anyone is to blame for these moves it's the tracksuit wearer with his signings of overrated DeAngelo Hall and mentally broken Javon Walker. He can throw money to these bums, but not pay the meager salary of Kiffin? The Raiders deserve losing seasons for years to come.
