Giants receiver Plaxico Burress turns himself into police; Mayor Bloomberg has tough words for Plaxico

Today, Giants star WR Plaxico Burress turned himself into police for weapons possession charges after shooting himself at a Manhattan nightclub this past Thanksgiving weekend. He was charged with two felony weapons charges.

The Giants are sick of Burress, despite the love they have for his talent. I don't expect the Giants to honor his five year contract that they rewarded him with this past off-season. You can expect the Giants to cut their star and a lot of money has been lost with this situation by Plaxico. Don't even be shocked if Plaxico is suspended from team activities for the rest of the year as he has a penchant for committing silly acts at the most inopportune times.

Even Mayor Bloomberg is mad about this whole situation and thinks Plaxico should be hit harder by the police and feels the hospital let him slide as well as the Giants by not notifying police quicker.
